The development of Hermine Server is open source and company independend. It is feeded by the private engagement of people. And there is a lot to do and so we need the support of many competences. The following list will give you overview of what we need:
- Developers: should be familar with the .NET Framework and C#. Depending on the private competence some focuses are available like database development or building graphical interfaces.
- Thinker: the most of what Hermine Server is isn’t a technical thing (even this is a lot). The most is the question: how may search supporting software fit our kind of seeing, feeling, thinking. That’s not easy to answer and we like to participate in thinking about that.
- Translators: The mothers tongue of people who making this site, the documentation and a lot of the background thinking about what the server should be is german. We do our best to perform in it english but we are afraid that it isn’t good enough. So we are looking for people helping us to translate or take a look of we have writen.
- Testers: Of cource, software might have some faults. We are looking for people who test this software. There are different kind of testing like client tests or performance test, depend of the competence a tester will have.
